HyChem carried out a full-scale emergency drill a few days ago at its industrial park in Póvoa de Santa Iria, testing the effectiveness of its Internal Emergency Plan and the readiness of its response teams.

COTEC Portugal, the Business Association for Innovation, has awarded HyChem the “Inovadora’25” status, recognizing it as a company that stands out for its approach to innovation, financial strength, and economic performance.

HyChem achieved it's goals, in terms of both quantity and price, when participating in the first national centralized procurement auction for renewable gases (green hydrogen and biomethane) intended for injection into the public natural gas grid.

HyChem signed a contract with the Floene Group for the construction of a green hydrogen transportation pipeline, which will be injected into the gas distribution network in the Lisbon region.

Portugal's first permanent green hydrogen refueling station, an innovative project by HyChem, is scheduled to open in March 2025. This groundbreaking station, located in Póvoa de Santa Iria, will cater to public transport buses, trucks, and private light vehicles, marking a major milestone in the country’s transition to clean energy.
