President of Moroccan CESE interested in HyChem's hydrogen

The President of the Conseil Economique, Social et Environnemental (CESE) of the Kingdom of Morocco and President of the Union of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions of Africa (UCESA), Ahmed Reda Chami, accompanied by the Ambassador of Morocco in Portugal, Othmane Bahnini, made a working visit to HyChem as part of a trip focused on the areas of Environment and Energy projects that may involve investments in both countries.

The meeting with the HyChem Administration, in Póvoa de Santa Iria, took place on a particularly busy day with meetings and visits.

The Moroccan delegation started by being received in Lisbon at the premises of the Economic and Social Council (CES), where they met with the respective President and the Secretary-General to gain a better understanding of the Council's activities in Portugal, as well as the functioning and involvement of the Permanent Commission for Social Dialogue.

This was followed by a visit to the Portuguese Environment Agency, where they received a presentation on the drought situation and water resource management in the country.

At HyChem, the Moroccan delegation, accompanied by the President of CES, Francisco Assis, and the Vice-President of the Municipal Council of Vila Franca de Xira, Marina Tiago, among other participants from different entities, paid special attention to issues related to energy transition.

The President of CESE expressed a keen interest in learning about innovative technological projects with investments in renewable energy and a strong focus on green hydrogen production, which are central and strategic topics for both Portugal and Morocco.
